Updated 9/16/2020: The Boone Duden Historical Society will host a cemetery tour at St. John’s UCC, 60 St. Johannes Lane, Foristell, on Sunday, October 4, 2020. St. John’s cemetery features the graves of early German immigrants, several of whom will be impersonated at the event, including Theodore Borberg, Ernst Dieckmann, Peter Nieweg, Mina Giessman, Johann Paul, Rev. Johann Stroetker, Emmet and Lydia Welge.
The program will be from 2 to 4 p.m. An $8 charge per person will be collected, with the proceeds split 50/50 between St. John’s Cemetery Fund and BDHS. Masks are encouraged. No restrooms available. If potentially canceled, check www.boone-duden.com.
