2018 Marks Another Successful Year for the New Melle Passion Play

The New Melle Community Passion Play - described as one of the best Passion Plays in our region - completed another successful year on March 25th. This year, as in years past, many people came together, a few at the last minute, to make this play happen – evidence perhaps of God’s ever-present hand in keeping this community production going for the past 37 years.

We are blessed to have so many dedicated people in our community who put their heart and soul into this production. Several new people stepped up to the plate this year, and out of their comfort zones, to take on new rolls. Many cast members also took on extra responsibilities,  filling multiple roles both on and off the stage, singing in the choir, helping with spotlights, props, etc. And as always, everyone worked together to pull off a professionally executed performance even though nearly all are amateurs with no other acting experience.

The New Melle Community Passion Play provides a great way to get in the spiritual mindset of Holy Week and the Joy of Easter. Congratulations to the 40+ member cast and crew! We appreciate the sharing of your time and talent to bring this emotionally moving, spiritually uplifting production to our community!
