Thanks to All who Attended Our Lady's Inn Luncheon for Life

Our Lady’s Inn held their annual Luncheon for Life on Sept 23, 2021, at Defiance Ridge Vineyards. As in years past, the event featured a delicious meal in a beautiful facility, a wonderful assortment of silent auction items, a raffle, and Pay it Forward Jewelry for sale.

OLI Board member, Don Goedeker, served as Master of Ceremonies and entertained the 160+ guests with humorous tales from his childhood and married life, plus inspirational stories from his years of service to OLI.

Our Lady’s Inn provides pregnant women and their children shelter, hope, and skills development for a new life. Executive Director, Peggy Forrest, said clients come to Our Lady’s Inn from all sorts of difficult circumstances – socio-economic, emotional, etc. But one thing is common – they are filled with joy when they talk about their children, and they are all grateful for the support OLI provides. While at OLI, clients work and/or take classes to help prepare them for parenthood, to hold a sustainable job, and provide secure housing for themselves and their children. Each client receives support based on her own individual situation and needs. In 2020, Our Lady’s Inn provided 10,563 nights of shelter, received 371 calls from pregnant women requiring assistance, and served 140 families.

Forrest thanked everyone for their continued support of OLI. “The needs keep increasing,” she said, “and your generosity is deeply appreciated.”

October was Respect Life Month. You can help OLI respect life all year by becoming a monthly donor. Just a few dollars a month makes a huge difference. The next fundraising event for OLI will be Trivia Night in January 2022. For more information or to volunteer or make a donation, please visit
