The Boone-Duden Historical Society will host a cemetery tour at the Augusta City Cemetery (corner of Jackson St. and Hwy. 94) on Sunday, October 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. (Rainout date will be October 10.) Members of the society will be dressed in costume portraying the following citizens of the Augusta area: George Muench, Wilbert Holt, Charles Deus, Harry Haferkamp, Mrs. Conrad Mallinckrodt, Gustav Muhm, John Fuhr, and Johann and Sophia Schaecter.
The public is invited to come and learn more about the life and times of these individuals and Augusta in general. Cost is $8 per person, with 50% of proceeds going to the Augusta City Cemetery, and 50% to BDHS to support their continued efforts to preserve and share the history and genealogy of southern St. Charles and southeastern Warren Counties.
